Don’t hold back
This past week has been emotional and full of love, so so so much love. My beautiful grandmother (inside and out) took a little fall a week ago today. Her fall resulted in a fracture in her spine. She is now resting at Hospice and it is hard to say what the next few days, or weeks hold for her. But one thing I do know is that this woman is and will always be the most optimistic person I have ever met.
A family friend of ours just recently lost his father in-law and he shared this:
“My final thought is about the experience as a whole. The sudden finality of death. I can only say that time waits for no one. The day after Ron died the sun came up, people went about their lives and the world continued to spin forward without missing a beat. Any chance to tell him how we felt was gone forever. Don’t miss any opportunity to tell the people you love how you feel about them. I won’t. Not ever.”
Don’t hold back, we are only guaranteed the present moment. Make it worthwhile, express how you feel and never stop loving, because at the end of the day and at the end of our time here on earth that is all we have, love.
